VECTOR
2411 - |
VECTOR 2411
is a high molecular weight radial SBS block
copolymer (SB)n. It is a 30% styrene grade
with nominally 10% diblock and exhibits outstanding
physical strength. This grade was developed
primarily for use in asphalt modification
but also finds use in elastomeric compounds
and adhesive formulations used in solvent
based construction adhesive and floor mastics.
Physical form of this grade is a free-flowing
porous pellet. A powder form of the same polymer
is available as Vector 2411P, described below. |

2518 - |
VECTOR 2518 is a linear,
pure SBS triblock copolymer. It is a medium
styrene, high molecular weight polymer with
outstanding cohesive strength. It contains
no residual diblock. As such, VECTOR 2518
is a high molecular weight version of VECTOR
8508. It is designed for use as an impact/toughness
modifier in blends with styrenics and as a
film modifier to improve elasticity. VECTOR
2518 is used as a component in hot melt or
solution adhesives for such applications as
product assembly and construction adhesives.
It is also used in asphalt to improve high
temperature properties, increase flexibility,
and reduce low temperature cracking. |

4461 - |
VECTOR 4461 is a linear,
pure SBS triblock copolymer. It is a high
styrene and low molecular weight polymer with
no residual diblock. It is the least elastic
of the SBS family of products while providing
high modulus, low creep resistance, excellent
cohesive strength, and good melt processibility.
It is designed for use as an impact modifier
in styrenics and olefins. It is particularly
suited for hot melt adhesives requiring high
strength and low viscosity at lower cost.

VECTOR 6507 is a linear,
pure SBS triblock copolymer. It is a high
styrene, low viscosity product. It contains
no residual diblock. It has high modulus and
low creep properties. It is the least elastic
of the SBS family of products. A high performance,
flexible thermoplastic resin that is designed
for use in crystal polystyrene/styrene-butadiene
copolymer (PS/K-Resin*) blends. It has excellent
physical strength andoutstanding melt processibility. |

7400 - |
VECTOR 7400 is a linear,
pure SBS triblock copolymer extended with
33% mineral oil. It is a medium styrene, low
viscosity product containing no residual diblock.
It is the softest SBS triblock in our gradeslate
but is highly elastic thus providing moderate
cohesive strength. VECTOR 7400 has superior
melt processibility when compared to VECTOR
2518. It is designed for use as an impact/toughness
modifier in styrenics and in elastomer films.
It is also of interest in hot melt adhesives
for easier processing with low shear mixers. |

8508 - |
VECTOR 8508 is a linear,
pure SBS triblock copolymer. It is a medium
styrene like VECTOR 2518 but it is lower in
molecular weight for easier melt processing.
It has excellent elastomer properties and
cohesive strength. It is designed for use
as an impact/toughness modifier in blends
with styrenics and as a film modifier to improve
elasticity. VECTOR 2518 is used as a component
in hot melt or solution adhesives for such
applications as product assembly and construction
adhesives. It is also used in asphalt to improve
flexibility and reduce low temperature cracking. |
